Overview
Tiaw is a currency converter built for travelers. Your privacy matters to us, so we keep things simple: we do not collect, store, or share your personal data. The app works on your device, and your data stays on your device.
Data we do not collect
Tiaw does not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, location)
- Financial data or transaction history
- Contacts, photos, or other device data
- Advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking data
There is no account creation, no login, and no way for us to identify you. Your currency conversions are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to our servers.
Anonymous analytics
We use Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Aptabase does not use cookies, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. All data is aggregated and anonymous.
Crash diagnostics
We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data when something goes wrong. This information contains no personal data and is used solely to identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device type, operating system version, and the state of the app at the time of the crash.
Exchange rate data
Tiaw fetches currency exchange rates from a third-party API. This request includes no personal data. After the initial fetch, rates are cached on your device so the app works fully offline. The only information transmitted is a standard HTTP request to retrieve rate data.

Children's privacy
Tiaw is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
